    This Valentine’s, join us for an evening built around great food, thoughtful cooking and a relaxed, romantic atmosphere. From Thursday 12th February, our Valentine’s Specials showcase bold seasonal flavours and dishes designed to be enjoyed at an easy pace.

    Start with seared scallops on squid ink & black garlic risotto, a smoked ham hock & applewood croquette with honey-roasted figs, or our game & blackberry duck scotch egg. For mains, choose from char-grilled Cartmel venison haunch with truffle mash and blackberry red wine jus, pan-fried seabass with saffron linguine and clam broth, or honey-roasted duck breast finished with black cherry jus.

    For sharing, our 28oz côte de bœuf makes a striking centrepiece, served medium-rare with triple-cooked chips and grilled mushrooms. Finish with classic desserts including chocolate fondant, French apple tart or raspberry & white chocolate crème brûlée.

    Perfect for couples, special occasions and unhurried evenings over good food and wine.

We’re ideally located on the border of three shires. This gives our chefs access to the finest fresh produce and livestock available.

Our menus are inspired by the seasons and constantly evolve and we offer different seasonal specials daily.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner served 7 days a week.

We’re dog-friendly, so your pooches are welcome to join us in our bar at any time.
